MOM DAY

DIA DE MOM'S 2011

* Now that I am finished posting on Hawaii I can get around to posting all the things that we have been doing since we have been home.

Mother's Day was spent out in Trenton this year.  Kami decided that she would rather take a Caribbean cruise than celebrate the very being who gave her the breath of life, so her and Erik were not in attendance.

Everyone and I mean EVERYONE (yes even Cort and Brandon) helped with the dinner.  Rachel made the Mahi Mahi (sooooo good) and the rest of us made the side dishes and dessert.  Oh and I must give a shout-out to Cort.  His assignment was ice cream.  In 2007 he was given the same assignment of ice cream for Christmas Eve dinner and he picked up SUGARFREE ice cream.  I know, right!?!  Since that day he has be ridiculed beyond belief (every bit of it was deserved for that lapse in judgement in getting the sugar free crap).  However, I must say that since that frightful, black day in history he has been given the same ice cream assignment for numerous family parties (practice makes perfect) and has almost completely redeemed himself.  Now if only we can get Rachel to work on her Pretzel Jell-O Salad.

This picture was not staged.
The boys did in fact clean up dinner.
It happens once a year.
Lots of Monopoly deal was played.
I had a few pictures of the game being played, but couldn't resist posting this one with the face Rachel is making.

ps. Notice that mom...on MOTHER'S DAY...is wiping the bar.
Sad

Either the boys didn't finish the job they started or mom had to redo it.
Either way it is sad
It is also sad that this picture of mom in the background wiping the bar is the ONLY picture I got of her on Mother's Day.  Sorry Mom!!!

Tydon likes to play Stupid Zombies on Pop's iPad.
Wonder who taught him that game...

Tydon also drew me this picture of Clayton and I

NOTE: I am the one with the large head.
After chores we headed over to my Uncle's house to celebrate Grandma Andrew with the extended Andrew family.

Cort, Brandon, Clayton, and Tyson huddled around this card table for 2 hours gossiping like a bunch of 80 year-old ladies.

Cute aren't they!?!

A special shout out to my mom and my mother in law for being two incredible ladies.  Your love and examples are appreciated every.single.day!

Much Love to Both of You!!!

I thoroughly enjoy pictures of this family. Love it. Whose house is that last one in? Confusion... The gossiping ladies are slaying me. GREAT FACE, Rach.

PS. What were you testing?

Well apparently I can now leave comments. I enjoy the picture of the boys gossiping. Classic.
I think the boys should do dishes every time we get together. It's only fair.

awwww.....I had a wonderful mother's day. What I would give to be a fly on the wall when those boys were over there in the corner gossiping about girls no less! Too funny! Thanks for the awesome, amazing dinner and for EVERYTHING!!!! I have the BEST family!!!!
