Back in the month of March my familia did our annual March Madness Bracket.

Do you remember March?  It was sooo long ago.  I think that was the month where it  rained and snowed, rained and snowed, rained and snowed...Oh Wait!  THAT WAS EVERY MONTH SINCE NOVEMBER!

I'm not going to lie...when I saw mom's bracket before the games started my exact words were

"Oh Mom!"

Meaning "Oh Mom!  Those picks...they aren't...well...how...oh I feel bad for you...I'm no pro and I know that a lot of this is luck, but even I can see those picks need help."

 Let's just say that 3 of her 4 Final Four teams were out in the first or second rounds.

UCONN won this for her.

She owes them.

Speaking of "owing"...because of her surprise, come from behind victory we the family "owed" her dinner at the restaurant of her choosing.

Maddox was the fine dining establishment of choice

I'm just glad Cort didn't win because I really, really didn't want to eat at A&W

Nothing like eating raspberry buttered cornrolls in the presence of a giant Buffalo head

If he ("he" as in the Buffalo) would have dropped he would have killed a small human.

I really do like Maddox.

I think it is swell.

Hey Kami!

Remember that time you got married and your wedding dinner was at Maddox where they served that fabulous Snickers cake for dessert, but you didn't get any because while you were too busy accepting "congrats" from people I went ahead and ate your piece (after I finished off mine).  Funny huh.  Just know that The. Cake. Was. Awesome!

I was lucky enough to sit across from Kace.

My KACE dinner highlights included...

1) Kace refusing to take off his coat ignoring Kami's numerous attempts to get him to do so.

2) Learning (again) about all sorts marine life (again) mostly whales (again)

3) Kace accepting my challenge to eat a lemon without making a sour face.  Pretty sure picture below proves that he didn't win (although this was his 4th lemon because he ate the first 3 lemons with a sourless face and I was bound and determined to make him crack) 

4) Watching Kace eat 6+ rolls, his entire meal, part of Kami's meal, and part of Tydon's chicken fingers...he is 8 years old!  Here he is eating roll #5.

5) Watching his stomach expand after eating all items listed above in Kace highlight #4.  Yes he is standing on the chair drawing all sorts of attention.  We aren't the refined dinning type.

 Mom the winner and Pop's the...not winner (my polite way of saying loser)

Oh yeah mom also won the nice shirt she is wearing.
