ABOUT TIME...I KNOW

Confessions tag

-post 19 confessions

Bree tagged me. I like Bree. She is cool. So I do what she tells me too.

Here we go. Please be nice. Please don't judge me.

1. I once owned an Elton John CD. Gross.

2. I hate to pee...sorry urinate. It is so inconvenient and annoying. Is it possible to have your bladder removed? If so sign me up.

3. I check people.com daily. This is not something I am proud of. Really its not.

4. When I see people I know in the grocery store (or anywhere else where random people congregate), I sometimes go out of my way to avoid them so I don't have to have to engage awkward conversations. Come on, we have ALL done it.

5. I still have dreams about going to school NAKED. Still! I thought those were supposed to end when you graduated.

6. Before I go to bed I will check the same door 3 different times in a 30 second period to make sure it is lock. Can we say OCD!?!

7. I once tired every home remedy in the book (slight exaggeration about every remedy) to cure pimples. Toothpaste-check. Yeast/water mixture-check. And a few others that are too embarrassing to post.

8. I made the first move on my husband. Had too. He was being a wuss.

9. Any "bready" product I will dip in milk. Pizza, muffins, etc. Don't knock it until you try it.

10. I used to time my nightly prayers. I thought the longer you prayed the more Heavenly Father would love you. I once prayed for over 20 minutes I think.

11. I will run for 62 minutes and 30 seconds and will round down just to say that I ran for 60 minutes. It makes it look like I ran further in a shorter amount of time. Makes me feel awesome. Doesn't have to be 62:30, it can be 57:30 (rounded down to 55 min.), 72:30 (70 min.) or any other time. ya I cheat.

12. Another OCD trait is that I don't like to touch my bare hand on a public restroom door. I will open it with a papertowl. Maybe it is because I often hear people leave the restroom withOUT washing their hands. That is gross people. Just gross.

13. I am superSUPERstitious of the number 13. How appropriate that this is number 13 on the confessions list. Yes I planned that. When working out I will NEVER EVER do 13 reps. When running I have trained myself not too look at the clock when it his 13 seconds of any minute. I can't have 13 Hersey kisses. Will never live on the 13th floor of ANY building. Despise the 13th of any month. Man the more things I list on this thing the weirder I'm starting to realize that I am.

14. I will make a batch of muffins and pull the muffin top off of them all and just leave the stump. Ever seen that Seinfeld episode about this? If Clayton ever leaves me it will be for this bad muffin habit.

15. I hate talking on the phone. The only time I enjoyed it was when Clayton was going to school in Hawaii and we would call each other on Sunday. That's right...when there was a huge ocean separating us we would only talk on the phone ONCE a week...sometimes twice. However, emails were sent probably 20+ times a day.

16. I drink milk straight from the jug. Clayton lets me. In fact he encourages it.

17. My sister, Rachel once told me that if you think about getting sick you would get sick and then you could stay home from church. I tried it a few times before church growing up and IT WORKED. Thanks sis! When I was sick Grandma would bring over a 7-up. Since we have 130 church I might have to bring back that old trick so I can watch the Superbowl this Sunday.

18. I used to pick my nails until they bled. Not bite, picked. There IS a difference.

19. I Still watch Saved by the Bell. Can't get enough of the Zack and Kelly and the gang. Saturday mornings it is on at 730am on channel 13. Treasure this piece of info I just shared with you.

Well that's it. Are we still friends?

ps here are some pics for your viewing pleasure.

I know I posted this picture before, but I just needed to remind you all how sexy I look in hot pink spandex pants.

After all the not-so-flattering pics Clayton posted of me on my birthday, this is the least I can do.

Posting, Posting, 1,2,3... Is this thing on?

by Clayton

The time has come people... Clayton has emerged from the abyssmal depths of the non-blogging dork world and is now publishing his first post ever!!!

What on earth could have happened to spark such a monumental occaision such as this you ask? Could it possibly be a post about Clayton's thoughts on the newly inaugurated president of the United States? Could it be that Clayton finally found an awesome job and wants to talk about it? Has Clayton finally found an answer to end world hunger? Cure for cancer? Cure for butt flakes (actually I do have a cure for butt flakes... but it's patent pending). Though this post is not about any of the afore mentioned topics, it is of no less importance or magnitude for today, January the 21st, is quite possibly thee best day ever!!! Today is the day that my sweet love Heidi was born!!! (Well, not TODAY per se, but X number of years ago today)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HEIDRON!!!

Though I could never be as creative and thoughtful in a blogpost as my lovely counterpart, I would still like to try to express my love and gratitude to her. The fact that I am doing a post should speak volumes!!

Heidi is my rock... actually she is my bread (since I'm looking for work, she's the one that supports my sorry butt!). I can always ALWAYS count on Heidi to pick me up when I'm down, back me up when I don't have a leg to stand on, and love me unconditionally no matter what idiotic thing I may have just done. She is also the one that keeps life interesting... do you really think that I would put put my arm shoulder deep into a cow's butt without somone pushing me to do it? Heidi isn't just a bully that pushes me to do crazy things. She is such a great partner as well... not just a partner like a spouse partner or a companion partner... I'm talking freakin' tag team partner as well! I'm pretty sure if (make that WHEN) I get into a fight in the Wal-Mart pharmacy line... she's got my back. With a mug like this, who would dare mess with her anyways?!?!

I could go on and on about how much I love and appreciate Heidi, but after listening to my sister in laws cry and cry about long blog posts with no pictures, I had better keep this brief.
There is one thing that Heidi loves to do, and that is BLOGGING! I know there are a lot of family, friends, ex-boyfriends, neighbors, ward members, and blogstalkers out there that enjoy Heidi's blog, therefore I ask you to...

Please take the time to make a comment and wish Heidi a Happy Birthday!

You don't know how to comment you say??? Well mom and all other people who don't know how, It's easy. REALLY!! Just hit the word "comment" below. A new mini-screen will pop up and there will be a textbox at the bottom where you can write whatever you want. There is an authorization word that is all wavy and funky looking that you will have to type in for security purposes. You will then have to check the bubble for "google/blogger" (if you have a google account such as gmail) or "anonymous" if you don't have an account. If you choose anonymous, please be sure to post your name in the textbox so Heidi will know who is wishing her a happy birthday! Hit "publish comment" and voila! You're done! How easy was that?!?

I LOVE YOU HEIDI!
Have a Happy Birthday!
PS. What's for dinner?

POINTS OF INTEREST OR NON INTEREST

1. I know that I need to update, but work/life has been crazy busy lately. No complaints about the busy part...I'm just happy to have a job.
2. Jack is Back. I love 24. I don't know how I went almost 2 years without you.
3. Clayton is 28 and I am only 27 (for another week). We are equal partners and I don't like it when we aren't the same age.
4. I think that I want to play croquet in the snow. I think that I will play croquet in the snow.
5. If I see one more commercial on how the UTES are so awesome I will cancel my cable...seriously.
6. Rockband is awesome and I am an awesome singer and drummer and guitar player and bass player. Not to brag or anything.
7. Clayton wore mascara to church on Sunday...no seriously he really did. I put it on him as a joke and he forgot to wash it off. Oh life is good!
8. Valentines day is on a Friday this year. cool.
9. Last Saturday, Clayton and I were bored so we ate dinner at 3pm. Like the old people do.
10. I have been dreaming of work each night for the past week. This better stop...soon.
11. My lil' Ty-guy turned 2 yesterday. Happy Birthday Tydon! I will give you one million tootsie pop suckers to make your mom mad-ok!?
12. Clayton's culinary talents have turn to cupcakes. Over the holiday's he made a lot of eggnog cupcakes. Yesterday he found 20 different cupcake recipes that he is planning on making. Examples include Samoa (yes like the girl scout cookie...awesome) cupcake, Sprinkles strawberry cupcake, S'mores cupcake, coconut cupcake, red velvet cupcake, zucchini-pistachio cupcake, Guinness (yes beer) cupcake, black bottom cupcake, hummingbird (pineapple and other fruit) cupcake, etc.

And since no post can be complete with out pictures here are some pics from Clayton's birthday at his parents house.

I got a present on Clayton's birthday too. Now that is how it should be. I should get gifts on all birthdays.

Sweet! Mariokart. The look on Clayton's face is genuine. He loves that game. Thanks Mom, Dad, and Woodwards!

Ahhh...B-I-G present. What could it be?

Not a kitchenAid, although that would have been awesome. Chloe loves to help unwrap presents.
Addicted to cake. Nana made Clayton's "special" cake. Just because I put "special" in quotes does not mean it has alcohol in it. The girls and Clayton. I had one with Chase and Brady too, but it turned out blurry.
And since no post where pictures were taken at Nana and Poppy's would be complete without Chloe, here are some for your viewing pleasure. She is quite the little poser.

I l-o-v-e this outfit. Jessica this is one you better save for me when Clayton and I have kids. Unless you plan on having another girl anytime soon.

Clayton looks evil and Chloe looks...well...like Chloe. Good times.

FELIZ CUMPLEANOS EL CLAYTON

Well January 4, 2009 has passed and that means that my beloved C-diddy is now 28 years old. In honor of him I have decided to post (like sooooo many others) 28 things that you may or may not know about Clayton. Pardon me for being a few days late. much, much younger version of Clayton. Pre-mullet days. And that my friends brings us to fact number 1.

1. had a killer mullet. I know. Awesome. If you look closely (you know you want too) you will see that he has 3 or 4 other hairstyles combined with the mullet (perm, side spike, stairs). Does it get any better than that!?!

2. He cried last year when HBO canceled "Inside the NFL." (slight exaggeration, but was upset nonetheless)

3. He had Perthes Hip when he was a kid which made it hard for him to run, play sports, etc. Something kids usually grow out of, but his hip still hurts occasionally and he can't cross his right leg over his left (or is it left over right???)

4. Yesterday (1/5) in the early am he ran 18 miles. Today (1/6) he ran 10 miles. The days/weeks are always like this. He usually runs between 50-65 miles per week. Pretty impressive after reading fact number 3, huh! 5. Favorite band is Coheed and Cambria. Rock on! Do people even say that anymore?

6. Plays the bass guitar.

7. Favorite restaurant is El Matador in Ogden. Good eats. 8. Served mission in Hawaii and baptized a small Marshallese nation. Kidding. But he did serve in a Marshallese ward for awhile and learned the language.

9. Went to BYU-Hawaii for 3 years before he met his beloved (Me!) and transfered to USU. Trust me I tried to get him to move us back so he could graduate from BYU-H. Clayton was obviously meant to be in Hawaii. Even as a baby he was trying to do the Shaka.

10. In his book Cake is right up there with Cheese. Cheese is at the top of the fav foods list so that is saying a lot about cake. Myself...not a huge fan of cake. Not dense enough. I like my foods as packed with as many calories as possible.

11. likes to surf and snowboard.

12. Likes to eat peanut butter and Frito (yes the chip) sandwiches. Weird.

13. Is one ticket away from having his drivers license taken away.

14. has had his hand up a cows rear end.
15. Favorite movies are Lord of the Rings (or as I call it Lord of the Gay Rings...come on Sam and Froto...?) and the Batman Movies (Begins and Dark Knight).

16. has been skydiving and has swam with sharks (no pic of that sorry) 17. is deathly afraid of cockroaches.

18. wishes he could be Steven Colbert

19. watches Sponge Bob Square Pants and likes it. interesting...

20. thinks that the devil lives in the crawlspace below our house. He might be right.

21. has a watch (mostly Nixon) and shoe fettish. it's bad, people. real bad.

22. is a complete gentleman. always opens my doors, won't start eating until I am ready, lets me have the last bite if we are sharing something, keeps me warm when I am cold and he is burning hot but I am hot to the touch (anyone follow that???), etc.

23. flosses in the shower.

24. coined the phrase "craptacular"

25. always beats me at Phase 10. Doesn't matter how many times we play he always kicks my trash. I think he cheats.

26. Likes the Dallas Cowboys and BYU

27. Every time he starts a band on Guitar Hero or Rock Band he has to name it "The Sucks"

28. Is the most awesome, loving, talented, smart, athletic, good looking, spiritual man I know...and I LOVE HIM! Happy Birthday Clayton!

CHRISTMAS CONCERNS

I meant to write this post during the Christmas season, but I was busy and didn't have time(translation: I was lazy). So as Clayton and I were taking down the Christmas decor I whipped out the camera (yes whipped) and snapped a photag. I'm sure that now I have captured your attention about what my Christmas concern is (no? humor me!).

Actually there are a couple.

1. I have THREE nativity sets and ZERO come with a Joseph! What is up with that? Was Joseph not there? I believe the Bible tells us that he was. Anyway Clayton and I were able to fix that lil' problem on one of our nativity sets.

Yes that is our Michael Scott bobble head standing in place of Joseph. Pretty sweet.

2. My next concern is as much of a concern as an annoyance. I'm sure that I have mentioned how much I love, love, LOVE Christmas music. However, what is up with that stupid song from Sound of Music? Not the "Hills are Alive" but the other one "These are a few of my favorite things." How is that a Christmas song??? Next year I am going to petition all radio stations to get rid of that song at Christmas time (no offense mom. I know how you love that movie). And while I am at it I am going to petition them to get rid of that irritating Alvin and the Chipmunks song as well. Could it get any more annoying!?! Seriously.

3. Isn't really Christmas or Holiday related except that this particular event happened during the holidays. Clayton likes the movie Moulin Rouge. I know. I'm not kidding. I have never seen it and he has been trying to make me watch it since we have gotten married. We saw the Odyssey Dance production of it last spring and it didn't look too bad so I gave it a shot last week. HATE. THAT. MOVIE! It made me cry. a lot. too much. Stupid show.

That's all.
