Raise your hand if you missed me...
Anyone?
Anyone??
That's what I thought.
Still I shall carry on...
and no I did not realize that it had been 3 weeks since my last posting.
Have you ever heard the saying...
Sometimes NO news is Good news?
I can see how in some cases this saying can be true, but as for Clayton, myself and our life at the moment I think that saying is a bunch of C-R-A-P.
By "news" I mean adventure, excitement, etc
Recently our life has been full of...
* working on the house
* indecision on the house
* trying to find a compromise on decisions for the house
* asking for forgiveness for meltdowns when we disagree on decisions for the house
* purchasing things for the house
* returning purchases for the house back to the store
* painting the house
* repainting the house
* cleaning the house
* slowly putting the house back together
* realizing that we still have lots to do on the house
* wanting to cry because working on the house is sucking away all sorts of fun from our lives
sounds fun, huh.
Anyway let me dig down deep and see if I can find anything about the last 3 weeks to blog about...
HUNGER GAMES
Loved it!
The Mr. and I went and saw it Friday afternoon. I was expecting nothing but disappointment. I was expecting it to suck as much as the Twilight movies. But it did not. It was awesome. Even Clayton liked it...but then again he likes movies like Lord of the (cough *gay* cough) Rings so he was ok with all of the violence and killing.
I WANT A TREE HOUSE VACATION
I want to go here. How sweet is this??? Forget the old, boring hotel. Stay in a Tree house. This one is in Oregon and they have tons of different houses of many shapes and sizes. I think this particular one you pulley your luggage up to the house and then you walk to it over this bridge. They also have zip line, horse back riding, tree house trampoline, rafting, fresh water pool (that looks more like a pond), arts 'n crafts, etc. Plus Cold Play is coming to concert in Portland in April. Anyone feeling the urge to give out money to this "poor, tired, in need of an adventure" girl? Anyone?
WATERFALLS
Speaking of places that I want to go...check out these beauties that I found on http://www.worldtoptop.com/
1. located in Bosnia.
Who knew that Bosnia had such beauty. I always pictured it as a war torn land.
2. located in Croatia!
Seriously! All you hear about on the news is war, war and more war. They need to start reporting these hidden gems.
3. This beauty is in Georgia of the good ol' USA
Pretty sure I could star at this all day (and night) while eating a Georgia Peach.
4. Iceland
Beautiful. You would be surprised how many gorgeous waterfalls are located in Iceland. We just might need to pay the "Land of Fire and Ice" a visit.
5. Venezuela, Brazil, AND Guyana
Talk about a trifecta. These bad boys border all three countries. Ummm...yes please.
6. Australia
I have found the Garden of Eden. It is in Queensland, Australia. I'm pretty sure the tree with the forbidden fruit is just off to the left
Of course these waterfalls will join the list of all the others I want to visit (Angel Falls, Havasu Falls, Victoria Falls, Papalaua Falls on Molokai, etc). I think I have a small obsession with waterfalls.
Pop's had a Birthday...
...shout hurray
Mom and Pop's are taking the family to Hawaii this year. All the kids went in and got my dad a VISA gift card that he could use in Hawaii. If you know my dad at all you know that he doesn't do many things unless he has a coupon or can score a super sweet deal. Because of this he probably wouldn't take advantage of his time in Hawaii and do fun stuff like, swim with sharks, kayak out to the Mokulua Islands, Sky Dive (hahah yeah right), etc. Hopefully this will help him take advantage of his time in Hawaii and help him (and mom) have an unforgettable vacation. However, like most credit cards this VISA gift card came with Terms & Regulations such as he HAS to use it on FUN stuff (no gas for the car, food, parking, etc) and in no way is he allowed to spend it on anyone other than himself or mom.

MARCH MADNESS...
...makes me mad. I hate you Duke and Michigan State. Here are my family's current rankings.
Pretty much the only ones who have a chance are Nimrod (Nate), Kacerade (uh...Kace), mcmurman (Clayton...GOOOOO CLAYTON), and Big R (Rach). Like in past years the winner gets a free dinner to their restaurant of choice. Up until Sunday, Kace wanted Artic Circle and Nimrod wanted Beto's. So please pray that Kansas will go down soon...like in their next game. Go McMurman...Go Kentucky!
Michigan State you suck!
Which is probably why I shouldn't have picked you to win it all.
WHITNEY HOUSTON
Entertainment Tonight please let the Whitney Houston story go. Seriously it has been OVER 6 weeks since her death and that it is STILL your top news story! Can't you move on to something more important like how Kim Kardashian got doused with flour? Don't get me wrong, I am definitely NOT a Kardashian fan (Kardashian who?)...but I do think the whole thing is absolutly hilarious!
yes sometimes I watch E.T. Occasional guilty pleasure.
THANK YOU
I couldn't end my "complain-a-blog" without thanking my husband Clayton. As much as I complain about all the work on the house, he is the one who has done 100% of the painting. He took off 2 days from work and then worked through the weekend painting. He told me that painting the house was a gift (see possible definitions of the word "gift" below) he wanted to give to me.
GIFT could mean...
A) I love you
B) remember back during my La-z-boy days how I was a painting master?
C) Painting is therapy for me. I really do enjoy it.
I think it is a little bit of A, B, & C. I did make him a home cooked meal that wasn't a sandwich or cereal. That counts for something, right? right???
Sure do love that husband of mine!
