IT'S A BUGS LIFE

Dear Self,

Next time you decide to venture out to Antelope Island please remember BUG SPRAY!

Love,

Your skin, eyes, hair, ears, mouth, arms, feet, legs, neck

Last weekend we packed up the bikes and headed out to Antelope Island to do some riding.
Oh Wow
As soon as we stepped out of the car we were eaten alive.
Proof below

Here is Clayton swatting all the bugs away

If the bugs could talk they would say...
"duh, winning"
Here are the bug bites.  This picture does not do the amount of bites justice.  There is just way too much hair in the way.  Clayton had them all over his arms, up and down his legs and even on his face.  I fared much better and just had a few on my face.  Guess his blood is sweeter.
I did get a bunch in my teeth.  Here is one to prove it.
Besides lots of bugs we saw Buffalo pooping...
...and Buffalo not pooping

Riding with the bugs wasn't too bad until we hit this one road with its wall of bugs.  I had to use one hand to swat the bugs away and wipe them off of my arms and legs while I used the other to steer the bike.

Imagine bugs biting you every millisecond for 30 minutes and then times that by 800.
That is what it felt like

That is when we decided to call it a day.

Which of these things does not belong?
So apparently we decided to ride the same day as the Salt Lake Century.
It was a case of Road Bikers vs. Mountain Bikers
 Always love the helmet hair
One of the main reasons we choose to ride on Antelope Island was to get a Buffalo Burger
Clayton's smolder glare while waiting for said burger

 Seriously that burger was awesome!
Highly recommend it...if you can fight the bugs

You know how pictures never do the actual scenery justice?
Well this picture has a case of the opposites...
It makes Antelope Island look prettier than it really is.

And that is a wrap
I am now caught up
24 posts in 20 days
including the 3 from yesterday and 4 today
New record I believe
Thanks for reading!

I seriously love Clayton's helmet hair. I'm guessing you won't do that ride again for a while, but at least you tried. Darn bugs!!!

I was thinking that you didn't wear spandex, but you did. I think the bugs are gross and the teeth pic is too.
