It was like the heavens opened and I could hear the choir singing the Hallelujah chorus.

We have been overdue for this kinda weekend for oh...3 months now.  I have learned not to take perfect weather weekends like these for granted.

THE PLAN: be outside and enjoy ever possible second of it

We started off doing a 5k for a Cancer fundraiser.

This was Clayton's first race back since the cortisone shot to help heal the plantar fasciitis in his foot that has been plaguing him for almost TWO YEARS now.

He did really well and I am so proud of him.  He runs like he never took time off.

We came in 7th and 8th overall

My goal was to be the first girl to cross the line and ...

mission accomplished

Next we enjoyed the weather at the

Cache Valley Gardner's Market.

Rain or shine it is not unusual to see us here checking out the local produce and mooching free samples.

The week before this we went and bought some cupcakes from one of the vendor ladies that we did not know.  Clayton was telling her about this awesome Key Lime Coconut Cupcake we got at the Gardner's Market a few years ago.  She commented on how she had never thought about making a Key Lime Coconut Cupcake.

FLASH FORWARD to this last Saturday's market

We make our way to the cupcake booth (because the husband craves him some cupcakes) and there were...

KEY LIME COCONUT CUPCAKES

just like the husband had suggested.

She saw him and commented how she hopped he would come to the market because she had made the cupcakes he had suggested.  She also gave us a free one because it was his idea.

Score!

We ended up buying 2 more cus they were just that good.

Clayton was in heaven for the rest of the day.

Finally we loaded up the boards and headed to Hyrum Dam to do some

Paddle Boarding
