SUMMERFEST

Oh Summerfest
How I LOVE thee
I LOVE to pretend that I'm artsy and cultured as I walk around your booths (which I'm not)

I LOVE to pretend that I'm interested in your pictures that are for purchase (which I'm definitely not. If you lower the price from 1 million dollars to $5 dollars then we'll talk)

I LOVE to people watch (hours of entertainment can be spent watching the hippies, crazies, rednecks, "thugs", hoity-toity's, tweens, Brady Bunch families, drag queens, etc.)
I LOVE to see all the different kinds of food you have to offer (oh the choices...)

Sadly this year we were only able to try the food and had to skip out on the people watching and expensive art exhibits.  With the reunion coinciding with Summerfest we only had enough time to run and eat after work and then head out to the reunion.  Trust me Clayton was not shedding any tears by skipping the artsy-fartsy booth walk this year.

We were accompanied by the ever so delightful Kace and Tydon.  They DID NOT want to go to Summerfest.  AT. ALL.  Clayton and I were starving and not ready to give into them.  Predicament in its finest.  Two stubborn parties...let the battle begin.

Ok so we came to a more peaceful solution:

BRIBERY

I told them if they went to Summerfest with us that they could have ANY treat of their choice.

Tydon (naturally) chose the first treat he saw.  The awful slushie-snowy shack.  He later regretted his decision when he saw all the other options available.
I would just like to point out the poof in the back of my head.  If you finish this sentence you win a surprise.

Heidi, with that hair bump you look like you could be from the city of ________________________________.
(Hint: this town is in the State of Utah)
Kace choose Cotton Candy.  Not my 1st choice, or 2nd, or 3rd or 90th.  But he was happy and that is all that mattered.

Well he was happy until he saw my "treat"
the blessed crepe!
Clayton was too cool to get a picture of him and his "treat".  He got dutch oven food.

Two things
1. Please take note to Tydon's Christmas socks.  lovely.
2. Notice that he is eating his slushie with a f-o-r-k.
Apparently it runs in the family because Kace ate his Cotton Candy with a fork too.

Kace was so nice to share with Tydon.  By share I mean nice to tolerate Tydon eating the Cotton Candy without asking.

How much can he shove in???
Push! Use both hands.

Since Clayton was in an anti camera mood this day I forced him to take a picture.  And yes I am biting his face because that is what I do when I am denied picture taking opportunities.

He WILL learn from his mistakes.
Trust me

I like to think of the hair bump as the "Fielding Special". Do I win a prize or were you thinking of another Utah town. There are plenty who really like the lovely lady bumps. :)

It looks like you're staying busy and having a lot of fun doing it. Thanks for the reading material.

ummmmm OZ?? Okay I'm not really sure why I said that. Want you to know that you guys are so good to Kace and Ty. I think Clayton's treat won the game. I love dutch oven. Sounds like you had fun.
