SAVIOR OF THE WORLD
It took Rachel and I days to decided with a date for the family to attend this performance.
Days
Once the date was set we were so excited to go that tickets were purchased back in November.
November
The performance date was set for Thursday, December 29 at 730pm.
Tickets were purchased for the entire Andrew family.
12 tickets
(granted we had high hopes that my brothers would bring dates...so we went out on a limb with getting 12 tickets instead of 10)
Performance day arrived.
Thursday, December 29th.
We all met up in Brigham City (8 of us) and carpooled down to SLC in Rachel and Nate's Sequoia where we met up with Kami and Erik.
SIDE NOTE: Nate's impressive freeway driving skills included talking on a cellphone, sucking on a ring pop, and driving all at the same time. The man has mad (yet unsafe) driving skills that deserve respect (and a lecture).
1.5 hours total driving time to slc
We had planned on eating dinner beforehand. If you know my family at all you know that we are usually in a time crunch. So the eatery of choice had to be fast and cheap.
Zupas it was.
After dinner we raced over to the conference center to get into our seats before the doors were locked and our tickets were given away to those in the standby lines.
As we raced around the conference center there was a photo spot were Clayton really wanted to get a picture but couldn't because we were in a hurry.
As it came our turn to give our tickets to the door ticket people we were told that we couldn't go in.
Kinda like Joseph and Mary at the inn.
They wouldn't let us in...
because...
our tickets...
were for Tuesday, November 29!!!
10 of them were for Tuesday, November 29 and the other 2 were for Thursday, December 29.
Tell me how that happens!!!
How in the world did I purchase 10 tickets for November 29th and 2 tickets for December 29th??? I still can't figure out if it was human error on my part or error on their part.
After going the rounds with the people in the office they wouldn't budge on letting us into the show OR give us our money back.
I. was. not. happy.
However, I'm pretty sure Nate, Clayton, Dad, and moppy Brandon were ok with the turn of events.
So then two things happened.
1) We got to make the day of two lucky individuals in the stand by line with our two tickets that were for December 29th
and...
2) Clayton got to go pack to the prime photo spot at the Conference Center and get his picture taken.
I probably shouldn't be posting these pictures...
I still wonder of Pop's knows what kinda "package check" the boys thought was so funny
Since we were all dressed up with no place to go we helped ourselves to the restrooms at the Temple Square visitors center, took some photos, and headed over to Kami and Eriks for some ice cream before our loooong drive home.
Sorry again family! Next year I will do better.
