Loud music
Lion House
Lights at Temple Square
Sometime in December Clayton asked me what my favorite Christmas music group was. I think my response was something like this: Trans Siberian Orchestra, Mannheim Steamroller, and the Jewel Christmas album.
Thinking that this was his way of making conversation I didn't think much off it. So I was a pretty surprised on Christmas morning when there, in my stocking were two tickets to Trans Siberian Orchestra concert that coming Wednesday.
Brilliant!
Perfect way to keep the Christmas festivities going
Hmmm...not quite sure about this face below
It was such a great present. I loved it. If a baptist choir and an 80s butt-rock band were to have a love child it would be called...
TRANS SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA
Prior to receiving this gift I had been kinda bummed that we hadn't been able to see the Lights at Temple Square this Christmas season.
Apparently my ever so brilliant husband knew what he was doing because the concert was at 3pm so that left plenty of time to see the lights afterwards.
Interesting side note: We found out from the couple who took our picture above that when you are pregnant and it is winter time you MUST wear a cape and can absolutely not take pictures of someone even if you are a professional photographer.
That strike anyone else as odd???
Lastly...
Dinner at the Lion House. We were supposed to attend Savior of the World the next night with my family (post interesting and sad post forthcoming) and eat at the Lion House beforehand. Well when Clayton and I walked by the Lion House the line was out the door. Knowing that my family would most likely be in a rush to eat we felt that it wasn't the best option for us to eat there before the show. But we did feel like it was a good option for us that night. We had heard good...errr...GREAT things about the Lion House Rolls.
Sadly neither of us were impressed. The rolls that Kami brought on Christmas Eve (thank you Kami and Rhodes Rolls) were 1.5 billion times better.
However the chocolate cake (that I was not going to give in to...but ending up being weak for) was awesome.
Doesn't the picture taking excitement just ooze off of his face?!
Thanks Husband for the wonderful present/night.

Dearest Heidi, I think you are very pretty, funny and smart - but my dear... Trans Siberian Orchestra?!?! HAHAHAHAHA!!! My boss got us tickets to go last year - and Michael and I were miserable through the entire thing!! HAHAHA! Oh well, we can agree to disagree, and I will still like you an awful lot ;)
I can't wait for the savior of the world post. Especially the package check part. haha
I liked the lion house rolls. Just saying.
I think your temple pictures are so very pretty! You do have a very creative husband. Glad it was fun!
You guys are TOO COOL! I love it!!! Fun times!
We went to trans siberian last year, and had a blast! II love your posts!!
Side note: If you are ever downtown and don't want to wait in line for The Lion House, check out bluelemon. It is our FAVORITE! It's right across the South Entrance to Temple Square, on South Temple, next to Deseret Book. We LOVE it!
