HAWAII - DAY #11

HAWAII - DAY #11

Day 11 happened to be Sunday, conference Sunday. Hawaii is 4 hours behind Utah so we got up to watch it at 6am. Normally I'm a total morning person, but after mucho late nights and lack of sleep we watched conference like the rest of my family back in Utah...with our eyes closed. You know who you are. After that we packed. It sucked.

We are lucky to have so many great friends in Hawaii. Two of which (Marc and Echo) invited us over to watch the second session with them and have dinner afterwords. Muchos gracias you guys. Echo reminded us how awesome a green bean casserole can be. We had an experience a few years ago and have not had it since. It's better that I don't publish "the experience" on the www, but the family will know what I mean.

Echo,
Good luck on your half marathon later this month! Hopefully...maybe...fingers crossed...next year Clayton and I will be there to run it with you. Let me know if Marc doesn't meet you at the finish line with some ice cream...cuz if he doesn't I will promptly catch the next flight over there and we will ice cream it up all. night. long:)

ps. be careful on your runs. You have had too many "close calls" lately.

We had a great time catching up with them. I wish they (or we lived) closer. Thanks again you guys. We love you!
We had a few more stops until we drove back into town for the night. Our next stop was to visit with President Workman and his wife. President Workman was Clayton's old mission president when he served in Hawaii. He is now the Laie Hawaii Temple President. Pretty sweet gig. Clayton has always talked so highly of them and it so it was neat to finally meet them. They promised that next time we were in Hawaii that they would take us on a tour of the Temple. I will definitely take them up on that.
Next we stopped by to say goodbye to Jonathon and Jill. Pardon Jonathon's Laker's shirt. He obviously doesn't know better. Thanks also to Jonathon and Jill for making time for us. Hopefully we will see you guys soon too.
Lastly we made our way into town to spend the rest of the night with Marc and Jodie. What can I say...but we LOVE YOU GUYS! Words can't express how much we appreciate all you do for us. All the ice cream (still trying to get that weight off...but it was worth soooo worth it), talks, dinners, Lego buildings, football games, texts, etc. Hopefully you can come to Utah sometime so we can return the favor. I'm thinking late summer just in time for peaches!!!
