HAWAII - DAY # 1

Isn't it funny how when you are leaving for vacation the flight is actually fun, but when you are coming home it is possibly the closest thing to Hell on earth?
We were prepared. We had books, banana bread, grapes, carrots (healthy was a must since we were going to be pigs for the next 1.5 weeks), and movies on the laptop. We killed time waiting for our flights by playing the old "guess where they are going and how they will spend their time" game. classic. The flight went by fast and before we knew it we had landed in paradise. I once asked Clayton if he feels like he is flying home when we go to Hawaii. His answer was "yes". As we approached Oahu he got this giddy, 12 year-old grin on his face that was so cute I just wanted to capture and keep it in a bottle to preserve. But since he isn't a Caterpillar or a peaches I didn't.

Off to Todai we went. Sushi fits into my Top 10 love list. We stuffed ourselves with raw fish and then headed over to see the Pataray's. Oh how we love these guys! They do so much for us every time we are in HI. Jodie shares my love for ice cream and how I already miss getting ice cream with her. So...what better way to spend our first day in HI than to hit the place where I learned to love (or obess) over frozen yogurt (Yogurtland) with the person who introduced me to it. It was magical. Just magical. I was so caught up in the moment that I forgot to whip out the camera and take (gasp) a picture.
By this time it was pretty late so we said our good-bye's and headed to bed.
