A Christmas mission experience
Day #3
Waipahu.
This small, poor community on Oahu was one of the places that shaped Elder McMurdie's mission. Clayton had been serving here for about 8 months. Christmas time was hard in Waipahu. The people were poor and didn't have much to give to each other or their children. Elder McMurdie wrote home to his parents and asked them if instead of sending him Christmas presents if they would send toys for all the little children in Waipahu.
They happily obliged his request
Toys were sent from Utah...
and received in Hawaii.
It was a Christmas miracle
SIDE NOTE: Elder McMurdie got transferred from Waipahu right before Christmas. Some other Elder got to see the joy on those kids faces when he gave them the toys. But it is the thought that counts, right!?!
The pictures below are from Clayton's mission

I don't think Clayton has changed very much! What fun thing to do. I think I would like to do that :)
Loved this memory from Claytons mission. Loved his skirt too. Love you both
