MY SISTER

I have the best sisters in the world. Anyone who disagrees will have to take on the 3of us.

Although, I love both my sisters the same this post (sorry Kami) is about Rachel.

my butt is still bigger than hers

When on the night before kindergarten I laid awake in my bunkbed terrified that the boys would beat me up on my first day (6 year old boys are mean!) she consoled me by saying if it happened she would get a teacher right away...that's my sis

When I didn't make the freshman basketball team and was devastated, she comforted me and said that I was better than the girls who did make the team...that's my sis

When I was alone on a Friday night and had nothing to do, she invited me to go to basketball games with her...that's my sis

When we got home from a HS boys basketball game late (yes to my parents 10pm WAS late) she took the rap ... that's my sis

When I was mad at her for playing a stupid, stupid song on the piano and decided that the appropriate revenge would be throwing, no CHUCKING a bottle of nail polish at her head, she didn't fight back (and it wasn't because she was unconscious)...that's my sis.

When I had dark days, she immediately came over...that's my sis

When I needed a job, she kissed butt to her boss and got me a job with her...that's my sis

When I needed to talk about boy problems, she was there to listen...that's my sis

When I wanted to hang out with her and her friends in the tent at sleepovers and go toilet-papering in the late hours, she let me...that's my sis

When at said sleepovers with her friends, someone told a scary story about the "click-click man" and I was haunted for years about that story, she constantly reminded me that it wasn't true...that's my sis

When I had to sing she would help me practice and tell me that my voice sounded nice...that's my sis

When I felt fat, she would tell me that I was skinny...that's my sis

When I had to schedule my classes at USU and didn't have a clue, she helped me...that's my sis

When I felt ugly, she told me that I was pretty...that's my sis

When I needed someone to proof-read my essay's or double check my homework, she did...that's my sis

When I was slacking planning my wedding (sorry Clayton OUR) wedding, she would constantly remind me to get going and would help...that's my sis

When I would cry, she would hold me...that's my sis

When I threw a fit because I didn't want to milk cows, she would go milk...that's my sis

When I wanted someone to go skiing with me on my birthday, she went even though it was expensive and she hadn't been in years...that's my sis

When I was a jerk, she forgave me...that's my sis

Rachel...I love you. I couldn't have handpicked any two better sisters than you and Kami. You have always ALWAYS been there for me, yes even when I wasn't being nice. You have always been a peacemaker and I know will continue to be one. I am so thankful for the special times we have shared and the memories we have made toiletpapering the Griffen's, going to basketball games, playing night games, working on the farm, talking about boys, talking about how boys were dumb, walking on treadmills, back to school shopping trips, playing in region softball, riding in the 24th of July Trenton parade, waterfights and playing in the ditch by grandma's, watching Saved by the Bell and Full House, eating bowls of cereal after school before chores and homework, singing in church, cheering for BYU, having crushes on the guys in dad's priest quorum, staying up late or waking up early to memorize the BYU fight song, etc. You have always been the one to include me and make me feel special. I will be forever indebted to you for that. I love you and hope that one day my girls can say...that's my sis
