THE WHOLE FIVE YEARS

Welp we made it.

5 whole years.

Go us.

hahaha. I absolutely hate, despise kissing pictures but I think that one is funny because it looks like I'm going to eat Clayton's face.

I have been thinking how to do this post. I thought that since we have been married for 5 years and we like to make lists that I would make different lists about us over the past 5 years...in groups of 5. Beware it is a looooooooong one. if you have days to dedicate to this post (and you know you do) some of the list items will have links that will take you to the former post telling about that item

FYI some of these lists might not make sense to some of you. Trust me it is better that way.

5 FUNNY MOMENTS

1. 11th mile

2. Puking my raspberry brownie shake from Bear Lake all over Clayton and his cousin's new car.

3. Cort's surprise...he learned to knock...he also got to know Clayton REAL WELL.

4. Watching a scary movie and then having our house broken into the next day (the intruder...my sister). That caused (both of us) to scream like 12 year-old girls.

5. Driving 3 hours to the Grand Canyon only to find that it was closed. Clayton got out peeded on the "Road Closed" sign and then we drove 3 hours back.

5 MEMORABLE MOMENTS

1. One Christmas I was struggling to get in the Christmas spirit and Clayton made me the 12 days of Christmas. On on of the 12 days he wrapped himself up in wrapping paper.

2. During one anniversary we were trying to save money and were not able to go anywhere or do anything. Clayton made me my own bed and breakfast. He called it Randy and Reginia's Redneck Room. He even purchased a cheap swimming pool, filled it with hot water and put it in our living room.

3. The loss of Clayton's job at La-Z-Boy. Although a very, very difficult time it was a blessing in so many ways. One in particular blessing was how close we grew as a couple during this difficult time.

4. Getting something we really wanted (umm...2 job offers in Hawaii). Went to the Temple and received an answer of "No". Accepted the answer and went forward with faith. Such a testimony builder.

5. I love, love, LOVE to watch our wedding video. So much that I'm pretty sure it drives Clayton crazy. So it meant so much when for Christmas this year he made me a new video with pictures of things we have done together with some of our favorite songs.

1. we suck our shakes through a straw and eat our smoothies with a spoon

2. For the first few years of our marriage I was the one who had to kill the spiders

3. Clayton plucks my nose hairs (yes I have them). Now that is love.

4. He sleeps with two pillows, I sleep with one.

5. We can share shoes. mostly slippers/flipflops.

Now on to the anniversary weekend. Our actual anniversary was on a Wednesday. We decided to take off Thursday night and stay in SLC until Saturday. It was a great anniversary and more importantly it has been a GREAT 5 years. I couldn't ask for a better husband. Clayton I love you so much. Probably a billion times more than when we first married 5 years ago. We have grown so much these last 5 years and my admiration and respect for you has also grown tremendously. Thank you for being there for me. Thank you for being an honorable Priesthood holder. Thank you for treating me with love and respect. Thank you for letting me put my cold feet on you at night. Thank you for sharing in the laundry duty. Thank you for being patient with me. Thank you for being willing to go along with all my crazy ideas. Thank you for taking me out for ice cream all the time. Most importantly thank you for loving me.
