Willard Bay Reunion - 2010

So mom told me the other day that my last post was July 30th and I need to update. I was always the most obedient of her 5 children so...Mom here you go.

A couple of weekends ago the fam headed to Willard Bay for the annual (with the exception of 2009) Spencer Family Reunion. I have always loved this reunion because it is so low key and relaxing (well for me that is. I'm pretty sure Grandma stresses). There are no arts and crafts, no matching t-shirts, no planned activities, no crying, no songs, and no fighting. We just enjoy good food (including stolen apricots from our Hispanic neighbors to the picnic table south), good conversation, water, king of the raft, sun, naps (dad), water guns, swimming, etc.

Below is grams. Boy do I love her. She is probably one of my most faithful blog readers. Her birthday is coming up. I hope you have a wonderful Birthday Grams!!!

Who needs a boat when you have a raft.

Ahhh...King of the Raft
Let me explain the game
1. everyone gets on the raft
2. we all stand up at the same time
3. try to keep our balance and knock others off of the raft at the same time
4. The winner is the person who doesn't fall off
5. However, if everyone falls off (usually the case) we all fight to get back on the raft and keep the others from climbing up.

I post this awful, blurry picture to prove that I, Heidi McMurdie was once King of the Raft.
