DRAPER, UTAH LDS TEMPLE
Only 5 of the 13 operating Temples in Utah left to go to- Oquirrh
-Vernal
-Provo
-Manti
-Monticello
I see us having no problem attending a session at the Oquirrh or the Provo Temples (uhhhh...football season is fast approaching and we will be spending time down south), but as for the Vernal, Manti, and Monticello Temple...we need other things to do in those areas if we are going to make a trip out of it. Any ideas???

I read in the parade magazine that there is a big pink dinosaur that is a must see. I can't remember where it was though........maybe vernal or monticello.
Hello....Manti Pagent. But its probably over with now...is it?? I would love to go and see it again. Ummmmm....dinasour land in Vernal...maybe visit some friends in Monticello. There you have it! Love you all
Manti is the coolest!!! there are tons of trails for biking or atv-ing. and lots of really cool bed and breakfasts.
monticello is closer down by where i grew up (well, 3 hours close) you might find it harder to do things there. but on the up side, it is only like 45 minutes away from moab and there is LOTS to do in moab.
ps. sometimes if you ask really nicely they will give you a mini tour of the manti temple. it is so worth it. it is a gorgeous temple.
We live in Ephraim (5 miles from manti). The pageant is usually what brings people here but you missed it this year. There is Palisades golf course and lake, Maple Canyon, ATV tours etc. Lots to do outside.
Maple Canyon is a must see in Ephraim. I like the pagaent as well.
Vernal has an awesome swimming hole. I went there all the time with scouts. Its called Jones hole. There is an awesome little waterfall that is known commonly as butt plug falls. Its just the right size to plug with well, your butt. Its a great little place to camp as well. Also, there are awesome rafting tours you can do at the Flaming Gorge. I would recommend them both. As for Monticello, its right by Moab. Go for New Years. Its one of the cheapest times of year to go, and its still beautiful hiking/ biking weather.
