THE BIG ISLAND AND MORE WATERFALLS

We flew into Kona on a Sunday and flew out Wednesday morning. I wish we could have spent more time on the Big Island because it was amazing. This is what we saw when we flew in.

Uhhh...kinda felt like we were landing on the moon or the dead area of Utah between Beaver and Cedar City. Not exactly your tropical island...or so I thought. In the little time we had on the Big Island we tried to cram as many waterfall sightings in as we could. Here are a few of my favorites that we hiked too.

Rainbow Falls
If you want to get good pictures of waterfalls you need to go early in the morning when the sun is behind you. That is exactly what we didn't do. Once you get to the falls you can climb on top of it and there are a million little pools filled with water or what Clayton calls "Mother Nature's pee." Kinda makes you want to lather up with soap and take a bath, eh!?!

Pe'ePe'e Falls or as Clayton calls it ...
This picture does not do the falls justice. There are actually 3 waterfalls in that picture.

Akaka Falls

I think that this fall was a favorite for both Clayton and I. Once again the sun does not do it justice.

Falls I can't remember the names of...
Falls #1
Falls #2 (it is there I promise)
We also went out to the Waipio Valley lookout. Didn't see any falls, but the view was stunning.
