EL FURNITURITO

Here's the deal. Our new couch/modular has been sitting in the Tremonton La-Z-Boy plant for...oh about a month now. Don't get me wrong we are excited about them but my dear husband gets too attached to things and has put off selling our old couches (I have too but out of pure laziness). One night a few days before we moved the new ones in Clayton was saying our prayer and asked that he would be able to give up his attachment to our old couches and sell them. I guess I should be glad that he gets so attached, makes it harder for him to throw me out. The next few conversations happened between Clayton and I during the process of moving the old couches out and the new couches in.

DATE: Wednesday morning at 5AM
BACKGROUND: We were loading our old couches onto a truck to take to the Lazboy sale

Heidi: I'm such a wuss
Clayton: I moved them in by myself guess I can move them out by myself too.
Heidi: I lifted weights yesterday.
*enter neighbors dog. Starts barking - a lot. (Guess we should have been a little quieter for 5 in the morning)
Dog: bark, bark, bark, bark, baaaark, bark, bark, bark, barrrrrrk, bark, bark, bark
*enter neighbor BillyBob (name changed to protect the indecent exposure of the innocent). BillyBob comes outside, stands and stares at us.
Clayton: Sorry for disturbing you BillyBob.
BillyBob: mumble, mumble, mumble
Heidi: (whispering) Clayton I think that BillyBob is in his underwear.
Clayton: grunt! (guess the couch was heavy. Maybe I should have helped a bit more instead of watching BillyBod in his unmentionables or lack thereof)
Heidi: (whispering) Clayton I'm pretty sure that BillyBob only had a t-shirt on and nothing else. Clayton: grunt
*BillyBob goes back to bed
Heidi: Ok! I'm pretty sure that BillyBob had on a T-shirt and tighty-whities.

DATE: Wednesday afternoon at a bloody hot 5PM
BACKGROUND: Moving the new sections of the modular into the house through the door (our modular has 6 pieces). Clayton is pulling from inside the house and I am "pushing" from outside.

Clayton: You have got to push.
Heidi: I am pushing!
*few seconds pass by
Clayton: You have GOT to push!
Heidi: I AM pushing!
*few more agitating seconds pass by
Clayton: PUSH!!
Heidi: I AM!!
*tension is mounting at an incredible rate and a few more seconds go by
Clayton: YOU HAVE GOT TO PUSH!!!!
Heidi: I AM PUSHING!!!!
Heidi: (angrily) Trade me sides!
* Clayton stomps outside and I stomp inside
* Clayton gives ONE push and the first piece is in the house.
* Rest of the pieces have somewhat similar commentary
Heidi: Hey Clayton. Remember when BillyBob came out in his underwear? That was funny.

Clayton wanted me to add his point of view to this story. His point of view is, "It was hard to pull the couch AND Heidi through the door."

Don't worry we still love each other and have come to the decision that we are never moving because we don't want to have to go through the couch moving process again...unless BillyBob comes out in his underwear to help this time.
