There once was a girl who was mean to all the boys...
now she is getting MARRIED.
Friday, Kami came home to go wedding dress shopping. I wasn't invited to go (thanks jerk!) so I invited myself anyway because I know how much she values my taste. Seriously she would have regretted it if I hadn't been there. She probably would have got some overy-laced, overly-beaded number with big, puffy 80s sleeves (no offense of any of you had that dress...I'm sure it looked very nice on you). Anyway back to the story at hand, I invited myself to go along. I was planning on meeting mom, Kami and Rachel at 11am. By 1130am Kami had found her dress. 1/2 hour + 1 store = wedding dress. Pretty impressive, eh!?! But for the record she didn't need to go anywhere else because the dress she found is absolutely beautiful. She will be a gorgeous bride.Later Friday night we went out to Trenton for some dutch oven and to give dad his father's day presents while Kami was up. Most of the gifts were the same old...food storage and movies. However, a few of the gifts were...well unique.
Kace gave dad a fish. Not one you eat but one you take care of. Doesn't dad have enough animals to take care of? I would think that 650+ cows is enough. But, I guess he wanted to give it to grandpa for Christmas but Rachel told him "no." Apparently she couldn't tell him "no" twice. I give the little beta fish 5 days until toilet flushing time...good luck little one, good luck!
Brandon and Cristen gave dad some bYu soap.
And Clayton and I were boring and gave dad food storage.

FYI... I did too invite you! stop throwing yourself a pity party. GEEZ... thanks for coming:) LOVE YA...
For your 411, the fish is STILL alive and thriving! We just moved it to a bigger house (fish bowl) and it seems so happy now. It was great wedding dress shopping and getting together with everyone (minus Cort) Friday night. Now...don't we need to do some dress shopping ourselves???? YEAH!!! Lets Go!!!
I am so excited to see Kami's dress. I accidently asked her what it looked like while Erik was sitting right there, so she couldn't tell me much =) But I am sure she will be gorgeous! And for the record, I would absolutely LOVE some fun pictures of Kami. . . I have a few of Erik too, one in particular where he is in a certain green dress- he makes a very pretty girl =)

Your post was nutritious. My daily dosage of laughter can be accredited to your blog. I love it! But I am a little sad that you made fun of my wedding dress. What’s wrong with having beads on your dress? I had all the Native American delights. So I get it now… you are making fun of Native Americans…..interesting.
i want your hat.
The sad thing is Kami has made relentless attempts to try and prove to me that she has some tiny bit of Native American in her...Unfortunatly I refuse to beleive it. I know deep down inside that you both want to look like me. -please don't let me stop you from admitting it... open space...this is an open space. Feel free to be open with your truest feeling about how you are NOT Native American and how you wish you were like me...
I do wear the shorts - It makes a big difference in looks (dork like) and comfort (much better)

The sad thing is Dad probably liked the food storage the best.
Days like that are SO much fun! Kami will make a beautiful bride. I love that Kace gave your dad a fish. And WOW the last picture of you and Clayton I had to look twice at it to determine if it was you or you mom. You look a lot alike.
