Last week Clayton had more training in Tempe, AZ. Training for Clayton = vacation for Heidi. When Clayton goes to AZ for training it is pretty intense. He is at Edward Jones from 7am - 830pm. So I don't see a lot of him. Thankfully his training was only for 3 days instead of a full week this time, so I was able to "twist" his arm and convince him to stay a few extra days. Part of the arm "twisting" came from telling him about different cupcake (his favorite) places we could go to and different Frozen Yogurt (my favorite) places we could go to. Isn't the www great. This first post will be about our experience with those with a little raw fish and ostridge thrown in.
ARIZONA PART UNO: el Food
CUPCAKES
Cupcakes from "Let Them Eat Cake" had serious potential to knock Sprinkles off of its podium. Serious potential. Take a look at their menu and you will agree (if you don't you have no taste).

Aren't they pretty? They looked better than they tasted. Don't get me wrong they were ok, but the cake portion was a bit dry and some of the frosting had this decorative sugar stuff around the edges that was super annoying. Don't worry we didn't eat all 8 in one day. For now we are Stickin' with Sprinkles. oh yeah and ps Sprinkles will give you frosting shots for $0.75. I have always wanted to try one (since in my opinion the frosting is the best part...Clayton will argue that), so I was granted my wish this trip. It. Was. Awesome. FROZEN YOGURT
FYI if you don't already know my love for Yogurtland you soon will. Keep in mind that I compare everything to Yogurtland. It is the best...nuf said. However I am open minded to other FroYo places. First stop Ocean Blue. Our friends, the Holmgren's told us to stop here. If you are into fruit flavors this is the place to go. Their fruit flavors were phenomenal. Probably the best I have tasted. However, they didn't have the the quantity of flavors or toppings of YL. Still good and at $0.36/oz you can't go wrong...especially if you like your froyo fruity.
Second stop MOJO. This place I was excited for regardless of their annoying website. It looked like it could take Yogurtland's place. Wrong. Really wrong. We were disappointed with pretty much everything... lack of flavors, $0.39/oz price, and quality of yogurt. Not sure why I am smiling in this picture. Should have a picture of me THROWING A ROCK THROUGH ITS WINDOW for ripping me off in price and pleasure.
Ahhh...Yogurtini. How my expectations for you were low, but you totally proved me wrong. We went planning to get a small cup, but ended up getting "a little bit more" than that. By "a little bit more" I mean A LOT. Your flavors were excellent (especially red velvet, dulce de leche), your abundance of toppings was amazing (hello Nutella and Reeces Peanut Butter sauce, along with the billion toppings), your price...$0.39/oz not so wonderful. Although I would rather pay for a $0.39/oz Yogurtini then a $0.39/oz Mojo. My heart still is with YL, but Yogurtini you give YL a run for its money.
Don't worry we hit our favorites Sprinkles and Yogurtland, but didn't take any pictures because I have taken so many already. You can find some here, here, here and here. If I were to rate the Frozen Yogurt places we went to it would be:1. Yogurtland (duh) $0.30/oz, wonderful toppings and flavors
2. Yogurtini
3. Ocean Blue
4. Mojo
Normal (kinda) Food
We did get some non sugar food in. When Clayton was done with training we celebrated with one of our favorite foods...SUSHI. Oh yes we hit 50% off sushi roll happy hour.
More to come...

I'm glad you went to Ocean Blue. Go my uncle's place! Sorry it wasn't good as Yogurtland...there is always time for improvement, right?
