Tell me if you think that this is as strange as I thought it was. So Brigham City has a 10K run that starts a little while before the parade. The 10K and the parade go down the same street. The 10K isn't over when the parade starts. In fact by the time the parade starts only a handful of people have crossed the finish line. Therefor the parade and the 10K are going at the same time with the runners heading south on the street and the parade heading north. Yes, I thought that was a bit odd myself. Whatever.
So we get a program (you know a parade is official when there is a program announcing the line up) and see that there is around 164 entries. Hum... Clayton and I have a busy schedule and need to be somewhere in a few hours. Parade starts naturally with police and fire engines. Little did we know that Brigham City has an endless supply of police cars and fire engines. I'm not kidding. There were enough trucks and cars to combat the War on Terror in Afghanistan alone. Pretty sure there were about 876 cars/trucks total. And the best part is that they all counted as ONE entry. That one entry took about 15 minutes. Only 163 left to go. We are on a roll.
Our beloved Governor Gary R. Herbert. Is he beloved? I don't know...I just like the word.
Shout out to my fellow Indians! Different tribe, but one in love. I'm thinking about starting a Cherokee band. Any fellow Cherokeen's in? I'll play the bass. Clayton will teach me. He can't be in the band because he isn't Indian. Sorry C-diddy.
Love this entry! Classy!
Time was running short but Clayton really wanted to wait for entry 38 (yes after a couple of hours we were only on entry 38 out of 164). What was so special about entry 38 you ask? Well let me tell you...entry 38 was the American Legion of Competitive Swordsmen. Sounds pretty fancy, right!?! I was thinking guys in their spiffy white suits with fencing swords. Little did we know it would be a bunch of pimple-faced teenagers (who spend most of their time stinking up your local GameStop with their body odor) playing with their make-believe lightsabors.
Clayton's reaction to the entry we had waited hours for
The parade was only a quarter of the way over by the time we had to leave. Next year we will block out 8 hours of our day to dedicate to the parade. However, we did score some good candy. Would have gotten more if Clayton would have let me punch some of the little brats around us in their faces that kept stealing candy right in front of me!

Ok so the parade was long, but glad y0u made it to Gossners luau on time. But really, the food wasn't the best I would expect at a luau, but the company was!!!!!
We missed it this year! Bummer. Glad you guys had fun.
Haha I totally laughed out loud hard about the teenagers, their light sabers and Clayton's reaction... We're really the coolest age of people ever, it doesn't get better than us and all our body odor. :)
Hey! I heard you are moving?! When...where?! :D Looks like you enjoyed the parade! :D
