DRAPER TEMPLE

A few weeks ago Clayton and I went to the Draper Temple open house with the McMurdies and my sister, Kami. You might remember this post from last year when Clayton and I drove up to the Temple during the construction. Remember all those "big" houses I mentioned in that post that surrounded the Temple? Well they are all (slight exaggeration...most of them) for sale. Hmmm...

Anyway as was expected the Temple was gorgeous. Even though at the time it wasn't dedicated there was such a reverence there. It truly is the House of the Lord.

We went with some nonmembers friends and it was a way cool experience. I agree even though it wasn't dedicated then- there really was a reverence! I was obsessing for a couple days after about ALL the houses that were for sale. It was about every other one.

so in admiring the family portrait, I cannot help but notice that my indian tribal sister is without child. now, let me fit snug and comfortably in the typical Utah scenario and ask where's the kids? I can't help but laugh simply because that is exactly mike and I. Half of the picture is kids, the other half me and mike.... no kids. As for now I think that the black doll, blanch is her name, will suffice for us and the hypothetical child of ours will have to do for those nosy questions. (please refer to blog post)

Great picture. Where's Kami? Glad you got to go. Sometime we'll have to go down and go through a session. Okay??? Love you all.

I actually went to that open house, and about freaked out when I saw all those empty houses around the temple. I think I talked about it for like a week afterwards!!
