CRIMSON TRAIL

Have I ever mentioned how much I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE cold weather?  Cus I do.  I hate it.  A lot.

Usually when the weather turns crappy we become hermits.  Most of our time is spent indoors, in front of the tv, watching movies with sun and beaches trying to block out the fact that we live in...

THE SOUL KILLING, HORRIBLE ARTIC TUNDRA

with its deadly inversion that traps the cold air in the valley and also makes it life threatening to breathe.  Which kinda sucks because I'm told that breathing is essential to sustaining life.

Doesn't Logan sound Lovely?

I really do love Logan (for part of Spring/Fall and all of Summer)

Anyway the point of all my blubbering about the cold is because Clayton and I have made it a goal to be more active in the cold months.  Now I know we aren't exactly in winter yet, but late last week the weather got cold.  real cold.  So we decided be active and hike.  We also thought it would be a great time to see the leaves in all the color changing glory.

Wrong

The rain the night before kinda dampened the beautiful leaf thought.  But we trekked on anyway.  Through the wind, cold, and rain.  Once we got moving up the switchbacks of the Crimson Trail we warmed right up.

View of the wind caves for the Crimson Trail.  And yes that white stuff you see is the dreadful S-N-O-W.

Don't mock my outfit.  I was cold and these socks were warm.

BRING IT WINTER!!!

I'm digging your outfit! Those socks are totally HOT! I'm so impressed with how active you and Clayton are... even when it's freaking cold!!

P.s. YAY! I'm so glad you loved The Help! I've already seen the movie twice and totally want to see it again :).
Oh and I haven't read Sara's Key - you will definitely have to tell me how it is! I'm always up to add more books to my reading list!

I don't like cold weather either. I like the view of the wind caves from there. I haven't ever seen them from that angle.

The solution to your cold problems, is a visit with the McClellans in Sunny, Hot AZ. I'm sure we could plan some fun for you.
