A TRIP DOWN SOUTH

Cabin Fever.  Stir Crazy.  Winter Blues.

Call it whatever you want, but come last weekend I had to get out of town

F.A.S.T.

Little did I realize that no matter how fast I got out of town the length of the stay wouldn't be nearly long enough to cure my "I need to see the sun issues."

If anything the length of the stay only made things worse.

*sigh*

So Friday we headed down to the big city of Salt Lake.
Figured that it had been awhile since we had crossed anything off of our Food Bucket list so a trip to the Red Iguana to partake in some mole (MOH-lay) was in order.
Diggin' the car.  Just needs to be lowered a bit to be more realistic.

Enchiladas with Mango Mole = awesome
And the Mole Negro (dried chile mulato, negro pasilla, Mexican chocolate, raisins, peanuts, walnuts, bananas and chicken).  Chocolate and Mexican food...can you go wrong?
Next we hit the Apple Store.
Hooooooly Crap that store was busy.
Must have something to do with the new iPad release.
Maybe...

So I left Clayton to drool over the latest and greatest of the Apple products
while I hit stores with more affordable items.

Such as a couple of pairs of awesome new earrings.
It's not like my decorative ear accessories cost $600.

Funny story:
So there I was in line to purchase my earrings and I look over in the line next to me.  I see a girl looking at me smiling and I think to myself that she looks familiar.  Where do I know her from?  Then I realize...

THAT'S MY SISTER

I later found out that she was looking at me thinking that I had a cute jacket not realizing that I was her sister.  It didn't dawn on her who I was until I said something to her.  Which makes the way she was smiling at me when I looked over seem very creepy.

The Adjustment Bureau
Maybe just me, but I loved it.
Then again I like pretty much anything that Matt Damen is in.
Quality actor he is.
For weeks now I have been asking Clayton when we can go to Yogurtland.
For weeks... and weeks... and even more weeks...
I miss it.
Crave it.
After the movie he took me there.
and paid for me.
It was like we were on a date.
oh and PS it was just as awesome as I remember it being.
See I was happy.
I think Clayton strategically placing the handicap sign in the picture with me

We ended up the night at Kami and Erik's.
They were nice to play games with us, feed us Girl Scout cookies, and let us spend the night.

The next morning we headed to Ogden to watch Kace play some B-Ball.
Sadly they lost.
again.
But my nephew has got some skills.
rebounding machine he is.
here he is making a free throw.
Oh and my other nephew...the four year-old...can dunk the ball.
Yep DUNK it.
This should come as no surprise since he is...
Spiderman
 Then home
blah home
boring home
cold home
snow on the ground home
"what do you want to do?" home
"I don't know what do you want to do?" home

See our "little" trip was not long enough
Summer please come
SOON

Heidi!
Comment one: I love the jumping picture, I've decided to make a book of jumping pictures for my coffee table if you would like to contribute.
Comment two: Do you remember M.D.B.A.? Hint-girls camp
Comment three: Is it too weird to want to set you and Clayton up on a blind marriage date? This girl at work and her husband remind me of you and your husband. If you go to my blog and look at The Rothey's you can check them out. Let me know if that is not too awkward-just remember I was born awkward and will only continue to not understand social customs and boundries! Thanks!

Comment one: Love the new look of the blog. Your photo is fantastic!
Two: Looks like you had a ton of fun and mole is an interesting taste (the chocolate one) so I'm glad you enjoyed it. Drew bugs me all the time to find a place with Mole, apparently SLC. OH and the sister story is hilarious.
Third: I know the Rothey clan and she is AWESOME. I think the blind date is worth a try.

AHHAHAHAHAH on the sister thing. I was wondering who it was, but the lovely comments cured that conundrum. Nice one, Kam. ;) Love it. Mostly I love that y'all are so polite that you allow people to stare at you without making faces or anything. Pretty sure some of my family might...

And, can I take this entirely apt public forum to say, for the record: GO COUGS! Love Jimmer. He was HILARIOUSly sheepish at the send-off party yesterday.
