O' CHRISTMAS TREE 2008

Does putting up a REAL Christmas tree contribute to global warming? If so I don't care...Al Gore can take my real tree and...(stopping there for reasons of vulgarity and because it is Christmas time and I need to be nice for another few weeks)

I like my Christmas tree to smell like pine. I don't care who you are candles aren't the same. Clayton thinks real trees smell dirty. I can think of a million things in our house that smell dirty (sweaty socks on the floor, our Halloween chili that was still in the fridge until yesterday, the toilet, etc) however, the tree doesn't smell dirty. It smells refreshing. It smells like Christmas.

Michelle (shout out) tagged me to show off my/our tree.

Ah the star...ignore the mess in the background

finished product. Yes it looks like last year's tree. We are too cheap/frugal/budget conscious to buy new decorations.

Seriously drinking hot chocolate in the dark with the Christmas tree lights on while watching some cheesy (but-oh-so-good) Hallmark (or Lifetime) Christmas movie is one of my favorite things to do. Nothing like a good cry while watching The Christmas Shoes. Yes I do cry on occasion.

I don't usually tag people, but I'm breaking the mold just this once for Michelle because she is awesome.

1- Rachel (because you are a scrooge and need to get in the Christmas spirit) 2- Candy (I love you my Native American sister but 3 weeks since your last post!?! Get on it) 3- Tara (because you are Martha Stewart and I know that you must have an amazing tree)

Love hallmark movies, HATE the christmas shoes song and am scared to see the movie. . .I just like Kimberly Williams-Paisley too much to be sad if the movie sucks.
