THING #1
I hate, I repeat HATE furniture shopping. I am not a patient person, nor do I like making decisions. I am not a creative person or an interior decorator. Those titles belong to my husband. He is both the man and woman (I mean that in a positive way Clayton) in our relationship. What I contribute to the relationship is still to be decided... Anyway, back to the point at hand...I HATE furniture shopping. Since Clayton works at La-Z-Boy (well at least until the end of August) we get great discounts on furniture. Basically everything at cost. We bought some couches before we got married and the decision process (what style, what fabric, etc) was so miserable it was painful. Why are we putting ourselves through this pain again you ask? Because Clayton's time at La-Z-Boy is coming to an end this will be our last chance to get a deal on furniture. We are both the kind of people who can't pass up a deal and someday we will have a house in which to store more furniture. So here we go again... Every night Clayton looks at La-Z-Boy's online website to look at styles and fabric while I am busy faking sleeping. Rude? Probably. But, in my defense he enjoys this kind off thing and I DO look with him occasionally. Yesterday, he wanted to go to Fisher's and Edward's (both furniture stores in Logan) to look at styles of sectionals that he has been looking at online. Ya know so we could sit in them and stuff. We had no luck and I promised him that I would look online today. Yipee...

THING #2
I LOVE ice cream. No love beats the love I have for ice cream, well besides the love I have for my husband...and family...and sunny weather. After furniture shopping last night I had to beg him to take me to the Dairy Queen for a Blizzard. He kept saying, "Are you sure?" To which I would reply, "yes." Then he would day, "I don't think that you have put enough thought into your decision." This conversation went on for about 5 minutes until I convinced him to go. The Blizzard in one of the best shakes. It makes me happy. I don't know what "special" ingredient they put in their soft serve, but it is glorious. Last night I indulged in a cookie dough blizzard (with extra chunks of course). I also love the french silk pie blizzard and the oreo cheesecake blizzard. Oh glorious, glorious Blizzard...I am making myself hungry...

Does thought need to go into getting ice cream???
So...you wanna ride on my bike sometime and be my biker chick? And by bike I mean bicycle.
dang, i didnt know he worked at lazyboy! so many people i know work there, what a mess!
and about the love for ice cream, i think my love for chocolate beats it, lady! i am pretty sure! and thanks for your comment on my blog about L-O-V-E! it is true, you will find out some day, but no worries, i look at you guys and almost miss the days where we just played and didnt have kids, so good thing you guys are enjoying it!
after we go to the waterfall, we should go to dairy queen. i know the ins & outs of that place! i worked there for like 8 months, which up until the job i have now that was one of the longest jobs i've ever had. so i guess you could say i'm pretty experienced with that place. i LOVE it!!! oh & you should hire me to furniture shop for you!!
Can I have your old couches???
I am with you- I also love a good deal. When I worked at ShopKo I think I spent more than a brought home because I couldn't pass it up. I too LOVE cookie dough anything1
So can I have a deal too? Notice that Emily (call) said that she ALMOST missed the time she didn't have kids. ALMOST is emphasized!
I meant to spell her name EMILEE! sorry
Oh, Heidi. White couches are not the best idea. Wait till your little kids puke all over them. Something all leather would be better, much easier to clean up. We got white fabric chairs for our dining room when we were kid-less and now I so wish I wouldn't have done that.
I am with you all the way on ice cream. You know what I miss that you have right around your corner? Charlies for ice cream. I love the hot fudge brownie sundae. Utah is full of a lot of ice cream places, not so much out here and I miss it!
Could a certain nice, cool, funny, nice, handsome, ummm did I mention nice guy that works at Lazy Boy get some really great friends of his a killer deal on a couch? We have to buy some furniture when we move out there. No pressure just thought we would try and mooch if we could! :)
Ok and I totally get the whole man and woman thing. Mark is the same way. I was totally surprised when we were first married and he wanted a say in where the furniture went and how we were going to decorate. Maybe when we move out there Mark and Clayton can go furniture shopping and we can go watch a movie!
I love ice cream too much! Seriously it's my downfall!
